Times are not good for Tiger Woods, it seems. Shortly after he admitted to marital infidelity comes another scandal to deter his image. According to the reports from The New York Times reported on Monday, that the Canadian physician Anthony Galea is under investigation for providing athletes with PDEs and Tiger Woods was one of those athletes.
However, The New York Times also reports that, Dr. Galea said, “he prescribed human growth hormone to some patients in his general practice and had used it on himself for 10 years,” but he “never treated professional athletes with H.G.H.”
Woods had come to Dr. Galea in June 2008 for the recovery post his knee surgery and was tended by the doctor at his Orlando home on several occasions. Galea claims he only provided Tiger with platelet therapy, a “blood-spinning technique” that accelerates recovery.
Galea was arrested by Canadian authorities on October 15 after trying to cross the US-Canada border with the steroid Actovegin. Human growth hormones are illegal in Canada.
Woods has not commented. Woods is rumored to have had affairs with 10 women – Rachel Uchitel, Jaimee Grubbs, Kalika Moquin, Jamie Jungers, Mindy Lawton, Cori Rist, Holly Sampson, Joslyn James, Julie Postle and Teresa Rogers.
