Anti aging, HgH, Hgh Effects, HGH: Human Growth Hormone, News Comments (0)

High and unadministered doses of Hgh have reported quite a few cases of side effects, though these complications have been reported almost wholly in children above 10 years of age or in adults. The details of various side-effects and risks involved in this therapy are:

Hypertension symptomized by severe headache, nausea, papilledema and visual changes. However, it can be reduced by temporary discontinuation or lessening the dos of Gh.

Slipped capital femoral epiphysis is a dangerous problem in which the head of the femur gets separated from the shaft. The treatment generally requires casting or surgical pinning.

Fluid retention and edema in early months of treatment can pose sever problems in adults. This requires temporary discontinuation of treatment. Again fluid retention combined with tissue growth can lead to Carpal Tunnel Syndrome or Median Neuropathy at the Wrist which is a medical condition in which the median nerve is compressed at the wrist, leading to pain, paresthesias, and muscle weakness in the forearm and hand.

Now, we discuss those side effects which have occurred only in rare cases and about which the relationship with Gh is yet to be conclusively established.

Pancreatitis has been reported in a few patients receiving GH, but a causal relationship seemed unlikely but possible. Joint pains, altered body composition,  and altered facial bone structures, are occasionally experienced by children or adults being treated with GH. Diabetes mellitus type 2|Type 2 diabetes] has been reported in a few adolescents treated with GH. Because leukocytes have GH receptors, leukemia cases have also been carefully counted since recombinant GH was introduced, though a direct link between the two is yet to be established. Elevated levels of IGF-1 caused due to a high dose of Hgh have been associated with colon cancer. However, these side effects are long delayed and it is yet to be conclusively proved by the medical fraternity that these diseases are associated with Human Growth Hormones.
